VasoProtect is a complex formula with effective antithrombotic and thrombolytic action. The VasoProtect formula primarily contains the enzymes nattokinase and bromelain, known for their antithrombotic and thrombolytic roles. These two enzymes work together to break down fibrin in blood clots. Fibrin is a blood protein produced during the coagulation process. In addition to the action of nattokinase and bromelain, VasoProtect benefits from the vascular protective action of pomegranate extract, standardized in punicalagins, and the anticoagulant and antiplatelet action of grape polyphenols. Let’s not forget hesperidin from orange, a flavonoid with vasodilatory and antithrombotic effects.

Nattokinase and bromelain reduce edema, relieve pain and inflammation

Nattokinase and bromelain, the proteolytic enzymes in VasoProtect, have the ability to hydrolyze proteins, facilitating the breakdown of fibrin in blood clots and improving circulation. Thanks to these properties, proteolytic enzymes help accelerate the body’s recovery following various types of tissue trauma, such as after intense physical exertion or surgical interventions. By reducing edema and relieving pain and inflammation, tissues heal faster and regain function. Nattokinase is a thrombolytic enzyme produced by certain bacteria and found in a fermented soybean product called natto. Recent studies on nattokinase have highlighted its thrombolytic and antithrombotic effects, due to its ability to break down the fibrin network structure that forms blood clots. One of VasoProtect’s properties is helping to improve circulation. Additionally, it reduces leg swelling and venous blood clots that may occur during long-distance travel by plane, car, etc. A Japanese study examined the effectiveness of nattokinase in preventing the progression of stroke in patients with acute ischemic stroke, showing clear beneficial effects after oral administration. Bromelain is a complex of enzymes found in pineapple fruit and stem. Studies on bromelain have shown that it not only minimizes angina attacks and transient ischemic attacks but can also help in cases of thrombosis and thrombophlebitis. When administered over a longer period, bromelain also shows an antihypertensive effect. In acute thrombophlebitis, bromelain led to a reduction in inflammation symptoms, such as decreased pain, swelling, skin temperature in the affected area, and reduced mobility. One capsule of VasoProtect contains 50 mg nattokinase and 75 mg bromelain.

Pomegranate for improved vascular function

Rich in flavonoids, tannins, and other polyphenols, pomegranate extract helps reduce oxidative stress, inflammation, and high blood pressure, and can improve vascular function as well as glucose and lipid metabolism. Multiple studies on pomegranate juice consumption have shown that it reduces platelet activation and aggregation in response to thrombotic triggers and prolongs blood clotting time by up to six hours. Additionally, pomegranate juice has been proven effective in lowering high systolic and diastolic blood pressure, as well as in reducing inflammatory markers and improving blood glucose, insulin, and LDL cholesterol levels. Proanthocyanidins not only have an antioxidant capacity 20 times greater than vitamin E and 50 times greater than vitamin C, but they also have strong anticoagulant and antiplatelet properties. It appears that supplementation with grape seed extract helps significantly lower systolic blood pressure in people under 50 years old, in obese individuals, and in those with metabolic syndrome. The grape seed extract used in VasoProtect is standardized to 90% polyphenols (catechins) and 40% proanthocyanidins.

Hesperidin: vasodilatory, antihypertensive, and antithrombotic action

Found in large amounts in citrus fruits, hesperidin has anti-inflammatory, antilipemic, vasodilatory, antithrombotic, and antioxidant activities.
