Myo-Inositol + Selenium is a food supplement recommended for maintaining female or male hormonal balance. According to studies, the combination of myo-inositol with selenium contributes to the efficient use of insulin and reduces complications caused by elevated blood sugar. Insulin resistance is one of the underlying causes of Hashimoto’s thyroiditis, polycystic ovary syndrome (PCOS), infertility, and even anxiety. Food supplements with myo-inositol and selenium help restore hormonal balance, support ovarian function, lower thyroid antibody levels, and even reduce anxiety and insomnia. At the same time, selenium supports male fertility by increasing spermatogenesis and female fertility by reducing the risk of miscarriage.
Inositol is a nutrient involved in maintaining hormonal balance in both women and men. In women, inositol is useful for menstrual cycle disorders, premenstrual syndrome, menopause, hirsutism, and acne. Selenium is an antioxidant that supports immune and antiviral defense. Selenium helps normal thyroid function by converting the thyroid hormone T4 (thyroxine) into its active form T3 (triiodothyronine). Selenium reduces unpleasant menopausal symptoms, helps maintain normal bone structure, and supports a youthful skin appearance. It also aids in eliminating heavy metals from the body (lead, cadmium, mercury).
Daily selenium needs are higher during pregnancy, for vegetarians, with increased alcohol consumption, for athletes or people performing intense physical activity, or under high-stress conditions.
