Original formula for managing Helicobacter pylori infections

GastriHelp is an original Zenyth formula that combines two complementary ingredients, acting synergistically for gastrointestinal health:

• FLAVONES from deglycyrrhizinated licorice (DGL) extract. Flavones have anti-ulcer, antispasmodic, anti-inflammatory, and soothing properties.
• POLYSACCHARIDES from Lion’s Mane mushroom (Hericium erinaceus) extract. Polysaccharides have immunomodulatory, anti-inflammatory, antioxidant, and gastroprotective effects.

NOTE! The licorice extract used in GastriHelp is deglycyrrhizinated. In other words, the extract does not contain glycyrrhizin. Glycyrrhizin is a naturally occurring compound in licorice that can increase blood pressure in some individuals. Using deglycyrrhizinated licorice is a natural, safe, and effective way to address stomach issues without causing water retention and, consequently, hypertension, which can occur with whole licorice administration.

Unlike other dietary supplements or synthetic drugs, which start from the premise that acid reflux and stomach pain are caused by hyperacidity and aim to reduce it by neutralizing it, GastriHelp from Zenyth works by promoting mucin production. Mucin is a substance that “lines” the stomach, thereby protecting the gastric mucosa. Deglycyrrhizinated licorice root extract for normalizing stomach acid levels

GastriHelp contains deglycyrrhizinated licorice root extract (DGL), which provides a natural way to address problems that may affect the stomach. This extract helps reduce excessive stomach acid secretion, decrease inflammation, and restore the intestinal mucosa. The flavonoids in deglycyrrhizinated licorice extract normalize stomach acid secretion and increase blood flow to the mucosal cells of the stomach wall. Additionally, they promote the secretion of protective mucosal substances on the stomach lining and support the growth of new mucosal cells. A double-blind placebo-controlled study concluded that 16 individuals with serious stomach conditions experienced an average improvement of 78% after taking 360 mg of DGL three times daily (with the three main meals). Deglycyrrhizinated licorice extract has diuretic and laxative effects, as well as anti-ulcer, antispasmodic, anti-inflammatory, and emollient actions, making it a good protective agent for the entire gastrointestinal tract. It also exhibits antibacterial activity against Helicobacter pylori, Staphylococcus aureus, Streptococcus mutans, Mycobacterium smegmatis, Bacillus subtilis, S. pyogenes, Haemophilus influenzae, Moraxella catarrhalis, and Candida albicans. It helps to liquefy secretions, including intestinal mucus, thereby improving digestive motility.

Lion’s Mane has immunomodulatory, antioxidant, and gastroprotective effects

Lion’s Mane (Hericium erinaceus) is a mushroom native to North America, Europe, and Asia, used for hundreds of years for its neuroprotective, cardioprotective, hepatoprotective, and antihypertensive properties. In traditional Chinese medicine, it is used to strengthen the five major internal organs: kidneys, liver, spleen, heart, and stomach. The body of this edible mushroom contains polysaccharides, peptides, fatty acids, essential amino acids, riboflavin, niacin, biotin, vitamin D, potassium, zinc, iron, phosphorus, and more. Polysaccharides, the major bioactive compounds in Lion’s Mane, have immunomodulatory, anti-inflammatory, antioxidant, gastroprotective, neuroprotective, hepatoprotective, hypoglycemic, and hypolipidemic activities.

Lion’s Mane has a marked gastroprotective and antibacterial effect and contributes to protection against Helicobacter pylori. An in vitro and in vivo study on Helicobacter pylori confirmed that administration of Lion’s Mane significantly reduced IL-8 production (which increases as an immune response to H. pylori infection). Lion’s Mane also directly inhibits the bacterium’s ability to adhere to gastric epithelial cells. Additionally, the extract can stimulate immune function and support the growth of beneficial gut bacteria.

Due to its gastroprotective, anti-inflammatory, and anti-H. pylori properties, Lion’s Mane is beneficial for individuals with inflammatory bowel disease, gastric ulcers, or gastritis.
